Food and wine tours of Italy

To help our holiday guests experience the true taste of Italy, we have teamed up with www.facebook.com/maxmollyatcasafaraone .Run by the wonderful Max and Molly Faraone, who in 2020 moved from Kent to live in Abruzzo, they work with carefully handpicked partners in Italy to create bespoke tours for customers.

Max and Molly, who ran a successful Italian deli in Tunbridge Wells for a number of years before moving to the area, know all the best places to eat and drink and things to do.

Whether you are looking for the secret foodie haunts loved by the locals or inspiring ideas for what to do during your stay, they can help to make your holiday a memorable one.

Their local knowledge and depth of experience is exceptional.

Exclusively for guests of Casa Foelas, they have created a number of sample itineraries with bags of ideas for days out.

These include everything from a truffle hunt with a tasting to a trip to an Italian cheese maker.

Or how about a guided trip to a local historic castle followed by a wine tasting or a visit to an olive oil museum and lunch at a local restaurant?

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make pasta, where better to learn than in Italy? There’s a wonderful day out which includes a tour of a crumbling ancient monastery, a trip to a pasta factory and a lesson in making the local Chittara pasta with Max and Molly over a glass of wine in their home.

The sample itineraries are just a guide. Max and Molly have an endless supply of ideas and combinations for other towns and places further afield. They are very flexible and can work around budgets.

They can also provide guides for walks of all levels and arrange tickets to events and shows. The couple can also cater in Casa Foelas from €25 per person or guests can come and eat in their home restaurant.
